Section 65
Local Revenue Consultative Committee

(1) There shall be a local revenue consultation committee as follows for consultation regarding revenue in the village or municipality:-
(a) Vice-Chairman or Deputy-Chairman
(b) Chief Administrative Officer – Member
(c) Two members, including one woman, from among the members of the executive appointed by the executive (d) Village or city level president of a recognized organization related to industry and commerce in the private sector or a representative appointed by him - member
(e) Chairman of the city or village level of the recognized organization related to household and small industries or his designated representative - member
(f) Head of Revenue Division, Department or Branch of the Executive – Member Secretary
(2) The work, duties and powers of the Revenue Consultative Committee shall be as follows:-
(a) To provide necessary consultation regarding the formulation, amendment, modification and compliance of revenue related policies and laws,
(b) To estimate the revenue that can be received in the next financial year by analyzing the source, scope and rate of revenue,
(c) Analyzing and estimating internal revenue based on revenue rates and areas, etc.,
(d) Advising on tax policies that contribute to local industry and business promotion and job creation,
(e) Advising on rates of tax revenue, non-tax revenue, service charges, customs etc.,
(f) Giving other necessary advice for improving revenue administration.
(3) The committee according to sub-section (1) may invite experts and other stakeholders in the relevant field to the meeting of the committee as required.
(4) The procedure related to the meeting of the committee as per sub-section (1) shall be as determined by the said committee itself.
